YOUKASHI

Eventail Kyo-sensu (京扇子, éventails pliants principalement produits à Kyoto) à double motif. Sur la face de l'éventail, un motif de  grues et de saule pleureur sur fond doré et au dos un ensemble floral sur fond argenté sont peints à la main.
Le plus ancien éventail pliant du Japon aurait été découvert en 877, à l'intérieur d'une statue bouddhiste du temple Toji, Kyoto. Les éventails pliants Kyo-sensu sont principalement fabriqués à partir de bambou et de papier ou de soie et se distinguent par leur grande variété de styles et de techniques qui conviennent à de nombreuses occasions, qu'il s'agisse d'une cérémonie de mariage, d'une pièce de théâtre de Noh, d'une cérémonie du thé ou simplement d'un usage quotidien. 

Kyo-sensu fan (京扇子, folding fans mainly produced in Kyoto) with a double pattern. On the front of the fan, cranes and weeping willow on a gold background and on the back, a flower setting on a silver background are hand painted.
The supposed to be the oldest folding fan of Japan was found in 877, inside a Buddhist statue at Toji temple, in Kyoto.
Kyo-sensu fans are mainly made from bamboo and paper or silk and are distinguished by their wide variety of styles and techniques that are suitable for many occasions, be it a wedding ceremony, a Noh play, tea ceremony or just everyday use.
