NAHAKU

Bol en céramique à 5 pieds, motif de rayures en épines de pin et émaillé à la cendre. Fait main par un artisan du lieu-dit "Yachimun no sato" à Yomitan, la Mecque de la poterie à Okinawa, où se trouve un "four dragon", "four grimpant" ou "登り窯 Noborigama", c'est-à-dire un four construit sur une colline, à plusieurs chambres qui permet de cuire de grandes quantités de poterie à haute température.

Five-legged ceramic bowl, pine thorn stripe pattern and ash glazed. Handmade by a craftsman from the place called "Yachimun no sato" in Yomitan, the pottery mecca of Okinawa, where there is a "dragon kiln", "climbing kiln" or "登り窯 Noborigama", which is a kiln built on a hill, with several chambers which allows large quantities of pottery to be fired at high temperatures.
