ZUYO

Eventail appelé Kyo Uchiwa, forme d'éventails faits à Kyoto. Cet éventail fait partie d'une deuxième édition faite en collaboration avec Yuki Hachiya, artisan fabricant d'éventails à Kyoto. Une grande feuille de papier washi a été peinte à la main avec de la laque sur du papier washi traditionnel puis 5 éventails ont été découpés à l'intérieur de cette feuille en créant 5 modèles uniques, 4 petits et un grand format. La structure, sous le washi, est en bambou et le manche en cyprès japonais (Hinoki) teint à l'encre sumi noire (encre noire japonaise utilisée pour la calligraphie). Les Uchiwas sont vendus avec un support en bois de Magnolia (Hōnoki) ,qui permet de le poser sur une étagère mais aussi de l'accrocher au mur.

Fan called Kyo Uchiwa, form of fans made in Kyoto. This fan is part of a second edition made in collaboration with Yuki Hachiya, artisan fan maker in Kyoto. A large sheet of washi paper was hand painted with lacquer on traditional washi paper and then 5 fans were cut inside this sheet creating 5 unique designs, 4 small and one large. The structure, under the washi, is made of bamboo and the handle of Japanese cypress (Hinoki) dyed with black sumi ink (Japanese black ink used for calligraphy). The Uchiwas are sold with a Magnolia (Hōnoki) wooden stand, which allows it to be placed on a shelf but also to be hung on the wall.
